Known for its ancient burial mounds: The Dolmens, a Unesco world heritage site , offering 3 ancient megalithic monuments and an information centre. The Alcazaba of Antequera is a centuries-old Moorish fortress. The vast nature preserve of Torcal de Antequera has dramatic limestone tower rock formations. After our visit to Antequera , we take a short drive to Fuente de Piedra Lake, home to one of the largest populations of Flamingoes in Europe, as well as several other species of birds which come to nest at the lake.
