Baeza, Jaen & Ubeda

3 days 2 nights Bed & Breakfast.

Staying in the 4* Hotel Campos de Baeza, conveniently situated at the entrance to Baeza Town.

Day 1 – Depart from agreed Pick up Place and Time and drive to Baeza.   Stopping on the way for breakfast (Not included) then continuing our journey to check in and room distribution at Hotel Campos de Baeza which is situated approximately a 10 min walk to the Centre of Baeza.  Free time  to explore a little before meeting at 4.15 at Plaza de Los Leones for a trip round the town on the Tourist Train. The evening is yours to relax and enjoy.

Day 2 – After Breakfast leave at 10.00am and take the short drive to Jaen where we will meet our Guide who will take us on a journey through the city,  starting with the Cathedral,  one of Andalucia’s historical Jewels. Ambling through the city we will visit the main monuments, the narrow streets, The Arabic Baths, the oldest in Spain and the typical Andalucian Squares that embellish Jaen.   The Tour and all entrance fees is included included in the price.

After the tour explore the city at your leisure before meeting the Coach to take us to visit The Castillo de Santa Catalina.

Return to hotel. The evening is free for you to relax and enjoy.

Day 3 – Check out after Breakfast to take the short drive to Ubeda, where we have a guided tour of The Olive Oil Centre plus tastings of different oils.  The rest of the day is free to explore and enjoy, before returning to our original pick up point.

BAEZA, best known for having some of the finest-preserved examples of Italian Renaissance Architecture in Spain,  became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003.  One of the greatest Spanish Poets Antonio Machado spent a large part of his life in Baeza, where he taught at the university an where some of his best works were penned.

JAEN:  Built upon Jewish, Muslim and Christian heritage has so much to offer historically and culturally, from The Veil that is believed to have wiped Jesus´s face whilst carrying the cross, The largest Arabic baths in Spain, A Castle which has some of the finest views throughout Spain and also known as The World Capital of Olive Oil, 77% of the provinces land are occupied by Olive Groves, that´s around 60 MILLION Olive Trees. It also has the highest concentration of Castes in Europe.

UBEDA is one of the jewel´s in Andalucia´s crown. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and an elegant and cultural town with excellent examples of Renaissance Architecture. The town has 48 monuments, including The Parador, The Pantheon, Palaces, The magnificent Renaissance Square to name a few.

The town is also known for its handicrafts, with many pottery workshops being open to the public
