Staying in Hotel Alboran 3*. Chiclana de la Frontera, conveniently situated for easy access to Cadiz .

Day 1 – Depart from agreed Pick up Place and Time and drive to Chiclana de la Frontera. Stopping on the way for breakfast (Not included) then continuing our journey to check in and room distribution at Hotel Alboran, Chiclana de la Frontera. Optional excursion into Cadiz late afternoon.to visit the Tall Ships Race.

Day 2 -After Breakfast CHOICES, CHOICES. Spend the day at your leisure, or be driven to Cadiz or enjoy an Optional excursion to Chipiona and Sanlucar de Barrameda. THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

Chipiona, a town dominated by the largest lighthouse in Spain. Standing at 207 feet tall (69 meters), with 322 steps up to the top. It operates as an aeromaritime lighthouse because as well as assisting waterbourne traffic, it also serves as a navigation beacon for aerial traffic. A town with narrow streets and Andalucian Squares with many bars and restaurants to enjoy.

Sanlucar is famous for its Sherry Cellars, Seafood, Beach Horse Racing and the first recorded circumnavigation of the Earth by The Magellen-Elcano Expedition, which sailed from Sanlucar de Barrameda in 1519 and returned to Sanlucar in 1522 after crossing the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. Christopher Columbus after discovering the New World sailed from Sanlucar for third voyage. Worth a visit is The Plaza de Cabildo, featuring a mosaic stone floor and fountain and lined with popular bars and restaurants.

Day 3. After Checkout, drive to Novo Sancti Petri, an old tuna fishing village, which was abandoned in the 1970’s , looked after by the military and over the last few years is being redeveloped into a leisure area, a brief stop for coffee before continuing the drive to Cadiz to watch the Tall Ships Race out of the port on their next leg of the journey.
