Every year at the beginning of May, THE BATTLE OF THE FLOWERS takes place in Cordoba. In the central avenues of Paseo de la Victoria and Argentina, a procession of floats decorated with flowers drive through the streets with the occupants throwing carnations to the public and the public throwing them back. Hence the name The Battle of the Flowers, This is Cordoba’s way of welcoming spring.
Lots of other things to do in this fabulous, historical, cultural city. Visit The Mesquita (open 8.30 – 11.30 & 3pm till 7pm Viana Palace, wander round the narrow cobbled streets with its artisan shops, Just enjoy your day.
