Granada, situated in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, is known for its incredible examples of Medieval architecture dating back to the Moorish occupation, especially The Alhambra Palace. This hilltop Fortress Complex encompasses Royal Palaces, reflecting pools and patios as well as The Fountains and Orchards of the Generalife Gardens.

Granada Cathedral, built in the heart of the city is a fine example of Renaissance architecture built on Gothic foundations.  The Royal Chapel or Capilla Real is at the side of The Cathedral.

The Alcaiceria is the place to experience an Arabic market right in the middle of Europe.  Translating to the House of Ceaser. A shoppers paradise, which combines the authenticity of an Arab Souk with the characteristics of Spanish shopping.

Not forgetting the bars and restaurants nearly all serving free tapas.
