This small town of Moclinejo, in the Axarquia region, comes alive the second Sunday of September, with its Wine and Vineyard Festival.

 Paying tribute to the men and women who work cultivating the vnes and producing the muscat wine. The adorned streets of the town recreate historical traditions including : Treading the Grapes and Sieving the Raisins.

A visit to the Muscat Museum is a must, to see the objects that were used in the cultivation of the vines and the making of wine centuries ago.

Tasting of typical products will also be on offer, including, Gazpacho, Roscos and of course Muscatel Wine.  Local artists and The Verdales will also be playing throughout the town.
