There is now a special “Cueva Tren” connecting the Nerja Caves and the Nerja Museum, a hop -on/hop-off service with scheduled stops at the Caves, Maro Square, The Museum and Parque Verano Azul.
The ticket price includes entry into both Nerja Caves and Nerja History Museum
They run on the 1/2 hour from the museum.
Unfortunately , the caves are not suitable for people with reduced mobility, having more than 458 steps, and various ascents and descents. However there is now a virtual reality room which shows the Caves for those with difficulty accessing.
If you are planning on visiting the caves make sure you wear closed shoes with non slip soles. FLIP FLOPS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
